The Margin does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on your device.

Data collection

The Margin does not collect any data. Specifically:

No analytics or tracking
No account creation or login
No data sent to any server
No third-party SDKs or services
No advertising

Data storage

All your writing sessions, projects, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is included in your iCloud and device backups if you have those enabled through iOS.

Data export

You can export your session data as a CSV file at any time from the Settings screen. This file is generated locally and shared using the standard iOS share sheet. The Margin does not retain a copy.

Third-party services

The Margin uses no third-party services, APIs, or SDKs. The app is built entirely with Apple's first-party frameworks.

Children's privacy

The Margin does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
